Our history
Adaptive Business Management Systems was founded in 2011 by two development engineers specializing in quality and software design. Throughout the millennium years, both engineers have experienced repeated exposure to TQM, Business improvement initiatives and RCCA systems, in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial manufacturing industries.
CAPA Manager RCCA software was conceived in a Weymouth pub before moving to a kitchen table and then on to a small office. Following career changes (and many planning sessions), the two engineers created a simple but robust CAPA software application designed to help organizations improve products and services, CAPA Manager.
Some infrastructure was required to share the CAPA software, such as servers and security certificates. To generate the money to do this, the Free quality tools website was created. This webpage generated a small amount of advertising revenue and attracted donations. Six months later, the first version of CAPA Manager was shared with the public, and Adaptive Management Systems was established in 2011.
Very quickly, CAPA Manager became immensely popular and it became clear there was a need to provide a 'Paid version' version of CAPA Manager that offered more features. This kicked off the continual development of the application we see today.
When we started, there were few, if any, similar applications available offering a complete software-based RCCA solution, certainly not for free. These days, the CAPA Manager concept has been copied many times. The key difference is that we remain firmly focused on what we can do for our customers. We offer CAPA Manager under multiple brands and resellers. Our resellers have to agree to our core values and customer focus.
Today, we are the leading software provider for CAPA Software. We still offer a fully compliant free CAPA software solution alongside the premium version. In 2025, CAPA Manager 3 will be released, ensuring that CAPA Manager RCCA software will be available to all for many years, including the free version.
